What This Role Entails

• Sr. QA Engineer with strong expertise in automation, backend/data testing, and performance testing.
• This role requires not just UI testing but a data-focused QA approach with the ability to validate APIs and backend systems.
• The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in test automation (Python, Pytest, Selenium, Playwright, Javascript/TypeScript), SQL/database validation, performance testing, and modern DevOps‑driven QA practices.

What Lands You In This Role

• Minimum 4-7 years hands‑on experience in automation testing.
• Test Automation: Strong hands‑on experience with Python, Pytest, Selenium or Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript for Web and API automation.
• Framework development/enhancements: Ability to contribute to automation framework design and enhancements.
• End‑to‑End Testing: Validate requirements, workflows, and business scenarios across layers.
• Proficient in writing complex queries, joins, aggregations, and window functions.
• API Testing: Design and execute test suites for API reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Good to have exposure or background on data‑focused QA on ETL, BI testing, and data pipelines with large volumes of data (not just UI‑centric testing).
• Performance Testing: Hands‑on in load, stress, and scalability benchmarking using tools such as JMeter, Postman, etc.
• Should have hands‑on or proficiency with non‑functional PSR Testing - Performance, Scalability & Reliability.
• Experience in CI/CD, integrating tests into pipelines (Jenkins, AWX, GitHub, Bitbucket), Ansible scripts for automation / deployment activities.
• Good to have knowledge containerization for scalable test environments like Docker.
• Good to have knowledge on Mobile Apps Testing - Functional & Automation on both Android / iOS platforms.
• Collaborate effectively with developers, DevOps, and product teams.
• Leverage AI tools for efficiency & productivity.
• Quickly learn and adapt to new tools/technologies.
• Solid communication skills - verbal and written.
• High Ownership: Takes initiative, investigates independently, and works with minimal supervision.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and independent problem solving mindset for complex scenarios.
