Job summary

Impact Analytics is seeking a Senior QA Engineer focused on mobile automation and SDET to lead native Android QA efforts. You will own the automation strategy, build a scalable framework with Appium or native tools, and drive tests across mobile and API layers with database validation.

The role requires 4-7 years of hands-on QA and strong Android automation skills, plus experience in CI/CD integration and real-device testing in a fast-growing global AI software company.

• 4-7 years of hands-on QA, test automation, and functional testing with strong mobile testing.
• Strong expertise in Native Android QA and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Appium and Android automation frameworks such as Espresso or UI Automator.
• Strong proficiency in Python/Pytest for automation.
• Ability to design and build scalable mobile automation frameworks.
• Experience with mobile performance testing and API automation.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the QA automation strategy for Native Android apps.

• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and enable reliable regression testing.
• Build a real-device and emulator testing strategy.
• Collaborate with Android, Backend, Architecture, DevOps, and Product teams.

The impact that you will be making

• Own the QA automation strategy for Native Android applications.


• Build and maintain the mobile automation framework using Appium and/or Native Android automation frameworks.

• Collaborate with Android, Backend, Architecture, DevOps, and Product teams to identify and resolve quality risks.


• Support UAT, phased rollouts, production validation, and releases .

What lands you in this role

• 4-7 years of hands-on experience in QA, test automation, and functional testing , with strong mobile testing experience.


• Strong expertise in Native Android QA and automation .


• Hands-on experience with Appium and/or Android automation frameworks such as Espresso or UI Automator .


• Strong understanding of mobile scenarios including app lifecycle, permissions, deep links, push notifications, background/foreground transitions, offline workflows, network conditions, and device fragmentation .


• Experience testing on real Android devices and emulators across Android versions and device configurations.


• Strong programming experience with Python/Pytest or equivalent automation frameworks.


• Ability to design and build scalable mobile automation frameworks .


• Experience with mobile performance testing , including startup time, FPS, janks, ANRs, rendering, CPU, memory, battery, and network performance.


• Experience with API automation for REST APIs and mobile-backend workflows.


• Proficiency in SQL/database validation .


• Experience testing slow, intermittent, restricted, and offline network conditions .


• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines .


• Strong experience with functional, regression, integration, system, end-to-end, performance, scalability, and reliability testing .


• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Good to have

• Selenium or Playwright for web automation.


• JMeter or Postman .


• Docker and cloud-based device farms.


• GCP or other cloud platforms.


• Experience testing offline-first enterprise applications .


• Experience with mobile observability and production monitoring .


• Strong understanding of Git, code reviews, and engineering best practices .
