Job summary

Ernst & Young LLP ( EY India ) in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned QA Automation Engineer to ensure software quality through automated and manual testing, integration validation, and release readiness.

You will design and maintain automation frameworks (Playwright, C#/.NET), test APIs and data flows, collaborate with Dev, product and QA teams, and contribute to exploratory testing when automation is not applicable. 5–10 years of experience required. Hybrid/onsite in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing and test automation (5–10 years).
• Hands-on with API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with modern web applications (React preferred).

Job Description – QA Automation Engineer Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated QA Automation Engineer responsible for ensuring software quality through automated testing, integration testing, regression testing, and release validation. while also supporting manual testing activities as needed to ensure comprehensive test coverage and high-quality software releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using modern automation frameworks.
• Create and execute SIT, Regression Testing, and End-to-End Testing.
• Develop reusable automation components and test frameworks.
• Validate application functionality, integrations, APIs, and data flows.
• Support release cycles through comprehensive test planning and execution.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data.
• Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with development, business, and product teams to ensure quality objectives are met.
• Perform exploratory and manual testing when automation is not applicable.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide testability feedback.
• Analyse test results and provide quality metrics and reports.

Technical Skills & Tools (Required)

Playwright, C# /.NET, JavaScript / TypeScript, REST API Testing & Postman, SQL and Database Validation, Git Version Control, Azure DevOps Engineering Practices Test Strategy and Planning, System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, Defect Lifecycle Management, Release Validation, Agile/Scrum Methodologies, Continuous Quality Improvement

Experience 5- 10 years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.

Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks. Experience with API, Integration, Regression, and End-to-End Testing. Experience testing modern web applications, preferably React-based applications. Experience supporting Agile delivery and frequent release cycles.

Nice to Have

Exposure to Performance Testing, React.js, Python & Django, Security Testing, Accessibility Testing, Test Management Tools, Experience testing enterprise-scale applications

A highly motivated QA Automation Engineer with strong automation expertise and a quality-first mindset.
