Persistent is seeking a Senior Python GCP Developer in Pune to design, develop, and support cloud-based applications and data solutions. The role requires strong Python development skills, cloud-native tech, and expertise with SQL and data engineering.

About Position

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Python GCP Developer to design, develop, and support cloud-based applications and data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python development, cloud-native technologies, SQL, and data engineering. You will be responsible for building scalable applications, developing robust data pipelines, optimizing system performance, and delivering high-quality cloud solutions that support business and analytics requirements.

What You'll Do

• Develop, enhance, and maintain cloud-native applications using Python and Google Cloud Platform.
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and processing.
• Build and support data solutions leveraging GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Composer.
• Develop reusable Python modules, APIs, and backend services to support business applications.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for large-scale data processing and reporting requirements.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to cloud applications, data pipelines, and GCP infrastructure.
• Improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with architects, data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver cloud-based solutions.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, engineering best practices, and quality guidelines.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and solution design activities.
• Support CI/CD processes and automated deployment practices.
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Expertise You'll Bring

• 5–8 years of experience in software development, cloud applications, or data engineering.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
