This role sits at the intersection ofbackend engineering and applied AI. You will work with product, frontend, data, and AI teams to turn business problems into reliable, production-ready intelligent applications.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop scalable backend applications usingPython and Django.
• Build secure and high-performanceREST APIsusing Django REST Framework.
• Develop backend services supporting AI-powered applications and enterprise platforms.
• IntegrateLLMs and Generative AI modelsinto production applications.
• Build AI workflows, assistants, copilots, and intelligent agents.
• DevelopRAG-based applicationsusing enterprise knowledge and business data.
• Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple business systems.
• Integrate external APIs, enterprise systems, databases, and third-party platforms.
• Design asynchronous and background processing using tools such asCelery, Redis, and queues.
• Implement authentication, authorization, roles, permissions, and API security.
• Optimize database queries and backend application performance.
• Develop reusable AI services that can be consumed by multiple Novagito products.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve application scalability and reliability.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, and deployments.
• Take ownership of features from technical design through production release.

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 yearsof professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience withPython.
• Strong experience withDjango and Django REST Framework.
• Experience designing and developing production-grade REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture and application design.
• Experience withPostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Experience with authentication, authorization, and application security.
• Experience using Git and modern software development practices.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot complex technical problems.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work in a product-focused environment.

AI Engineering Experience

We are particularly interested in engineers with exposure to:

You do not need to be an AI researcher. We are looking for someone who understands how tobuild useful AI capabilities into real production applications.
