Job summary

Insight Enterprises is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the Service Transition group and onboard clients into Managed Services across Infrastructure, Cloud, Endpoints, Security, and M365. You will work with Sales and Architecture to define solutions, maintain schedules, and drive milestones.

The role requires 8+ years of PM experience and 5+ years in related areas, with strong communication across diverse stakeholders. PMP/CAPM are desirable; MS365 proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field; equivalent years of experience.
• Five (5) years’ experience in Infrastructure or Security Network Operations, Public or Private Cloud.
• Eight (8) or more years of project management experience.
• Experience coordinating projects across organizations and functions in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Desirable: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
• Desirable: experience with project management disciplines (planning with MS Project, risk tracking, status reporting, multiple projects).
• Proficiency with M365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)

Responsibilities

• Provide Project Management services for onboarding new customers into Managed Services.
• Develop and execute project plans from initiation to close, applying standard Service Transition practices.
• Identify issues and actions; lead teams to resolution and completion.
• Identify and manage risks to minimize impact on project success.
• Report progress and escalate key issues to management in a timely manner.
• Document processes to ensure operational consistency and knowledge sharing.

About the role

The Senior Project Manager role in the Service Transition Group is responsible for driving the completion of challenging projects to onboard clients into Managed Services. The project portfolio for this role will cover the spectrum of Managed Services offerings including but not limited to Infrastructure, Cloud, Endpoints, Security, M365 and more. Working with the Sales and Architecture teams to understand the overall solution and services being delivered, responsibilities include maintaining a project schedule to meet deadlines, facilitating internal and client meetings and workshops, helping to resolve roadblocks and issues, providing status to internal/client stakeholders, and being the SPOC for questions related to the assigned projects. There is responsibility over the entire project life cycle. Management of concurrent projects is standard.

• Provide Project Management services for projects to bring new customers into Managed Services.
• Develop and execute project plans from initiation through close out; taking established Service Transition Best Practices and applying as needed to each project
• Ensure project success by identifying issues and required actions, then leading the team to resolution and completion.
• Identify and manage risks associated with projects and minimize their impact on the project success.
• Report on progress and escalating key issues to management in a timely manner to maintain progress
• Document processes and procedures to ensure operational consistency and facilitate team knowledge sharing
• Ability to learn and work in multiple tools and platforms
• Manage competing interests and priorities among diverse stakeholder groups

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field or equivalent years of experience
• Five (5) years’ experience in at least one of the following areas: Infrastructure or Security Network Operations Public or Private Cloud
• 8+ years of project management experience.
• Experience managing projects across organizations and functional areas in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Desired: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified associate in project management (CAPM).
• Desired: Experience with project management disciplines, including: Project planning using Microsoft Project or Microsoft Excel Issue and risk identification, tracking, and resolution Status reporting through standardized templates and recurring status meetings Managing multiple projects, shifting priorities, and scope changes Ability to collaborate effectively with project team members and stakeholders Proficiency with M365 applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio
