Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Mumbai to install, commission, and service complex building systems on client sites. You will configure devices, run commissioning software, and troubleshoot issues during and after installation.

The role requires hands-on experience with field devices, wiring schematics, and strong communication with customers and internal teams. Travel to project sites is expected as part of field service work.

Qualifications

• Diploma or associate degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in installation, commissioning or field service of building/industrial systems.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and commissioning tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission complex field devices and system components per project requirements.
• Utilize standard commissioning tools and software for system setup and validation.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues during installation and post-installation phases.
• Perform functional testing to ensure systems meet operational and performance standards.
• Respond to and resolve basic warranty and service-related calls promptly.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and customers for smooth project execution.
• Provide regular updates on project status, issues and resolutions to stakeholders.
• Ensure safety, company policies and quality procedures are followed.
• Maintain documentation of installation, commissioning and service activities.

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and commissioning tools
