Azista Space in Hyderabad seeks a senior program manager to take operational authority over end-to-end satellite AIT delivery, translating program milestones into synchronized engineering outcomes on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on technical management or program coordination in aerospace, satellite systems, or defense electronics.
• Experience leading satellite or aerospace subsystem Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) cycles.
• Strong leadership and ability to drive cross-functional teams in a flight-qualifications environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single focal point to deliver all contractual terms, specifications, and milestones with URSC and space agency partners.
• Evaluate technical scope to allocate engineering skillsets and manpower across AIT milestones.
• Plan, establish, and supervise extended-hour and round-the-clock shift schedules to sustain continuous assembly momentum.
• Bridge operational goals and technical requirements between external customer coordinators and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Exercise operational discretion to adjust staffing and reallocate assets within contract margins.
• Champion documentation, stage clearances, and audit readiness throughout the flight-hardware lifecycle.

JOB SUMMARY:

In this role, you will hold operational authority over end-to-end satellite AIT delivery. You will oversee resource planning, multi-shift cleanroom workflows, and contractual compliance, translating programmatic milestones into synchronized engineering outcomes on the floor.

Your performance will directly influence schedule adherence, resource utilization efficiency, on-time milestone sign-offs, and first-pass integration compliance across major spaceflight projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Customer Interface & Delivery: Act as the single focal point to deliver on all contractual terms, specifications, and milestones with URSC and space agency partners.
• Resource & Capacity Planning: Evaluate technical scope to allocate optimal engineering skillsets and manpower headcount across each AIT milestone.
• Cleanroom Workflow Oversight: Plan, establish, and supervise extended-hour and round-the-clock shift schedules to sustain continuous assembly momentum.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Bridge operational goals and technical requirements between external customer coordinators and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Executive Program Authority: Exercise operational discretion to adjust team staffing, reallocate technical assets, and resolve delivery roadblocks within contract margins.
• Contractual & Quality Governance: Champion rigorous documentation, stage clearances, and audit readiness throughout the flight-hardware integration lifecycle.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR?

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electronics, or allied field).
• Experience: 8+ years of hands-on technical management or program coordination within aerospace, satellite systems, or defense electronics.
• Program Execution: Demonstrated success leading satellite or aerospace subsystem Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) cycles.
• Operational Leadership: Proven background managing shift schedules, workforce allocation, and engineering deliverables under strict flight-qualification standards.
• Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Hyderabad, working on-site to drive cleanroom milestones.

NICE-TO-HAVE:

• Direct working exposure with URSC, ISRO, or equivalent national space agency delivery frameworks.
• Hands‑on familiarity with satellite checkout setups, cleanroom standards (ISO Class 8/7/5), or aerospace QA/QC gates.
• Formal certifications in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile for Hardware).
