Job summary

Astrobase Space Technologies in Bengaluru seeks a documentation and program management professional to drive execution across manufacturing, engineering, and operations. You will own proposals, project evidences, and risk registers while ensuring audit-ready records.

You will coordinate cross-functional projects, report progress to leadership, track KPIs, and help optimize processes under ISO 9001 guidelines.

Qualifications

Degree in engineering, business, or related field; aerospace/mechanical preferred.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing and engineering workflows in space tech.
Proficient in MS Word/PowerPoint; Excel skills essential.
Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and solving complex issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

Draft, format, and maintain high-quality proposals, decks, and technical docs.
Build a structured repository of project evidences and progress artefacts.
Ensure version control, confidentiality, and traceability of documents.
Manage cross-functional projects with milestones, deliverables, and deps.
Maintain risk registers, mitigate actions, and resolve issues with stakeholders.
Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports and executive summaries.
Track KPIs and surface actionable insights.
Study workflows to identify gaps and drive SOPs with leadership.

About The Role

Drive execution excellence across internal and external projects spanning manufacturing, engineering, and operations
Own documentation, stakeholder coordination, reporting, and process improvement to enable leadership with timely insights and audit-ready records

Key Responsibilities

Documentation & Proposals

Draft, format, and maintain high-quality business proposals, decks, and technical documents
Build and manage a structured repository of project evidences, records, and progress artefacts for internal reviews and external audits
Ensure version control, confidentiality, and traceability across all critical documents

Project & Stakeholder Management

Manage internal and external cross-functional projects by tracking project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and dependencies
Maintain risk registers, drive mitigation actions, and resolve issues through structured problem-solving and stakeholder alignment

Reporting & Leadership Support

Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for leadership
Track KPIs, highlight deviations, and surface actionable insights

Process Optimization

Study current workflows across functions and identify gaps, redundancies, and improvement areas in coordination with various business processes
Partner with leadership to design and roll out optimization plans and standard operating procedures

Quality & Compliance (ISO 9001)

Drive ISO 9001 activities including internal audits, documentation control, non-conformance tracking, and corrective/preventive actions
Coordinate with functional owners to ensure compliance readiness at all times
Support continual improvement initiatives aligned with the Quality Management System

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or related discipline (aerospace/mechanical preferred)
Strong understanding of manufacturing and engineering workflows in a space technology context
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; strong working knowledge of Excel
Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve issues through structured problem-solving
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Hands-on exposure to ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards, including internal audits and compliance activities
Demonstrated experience working within a Quality Management System (QMS), including documentation control, non-conformance handling, and CAPA processes

Preferred

Six Sigma Green Belt certification
Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, or equivalent)
MBA, PMP or equivalent project management certification
