Job Overview
As a Senior Product Manager in the Product Operating Model (POM), you will define, prioritize, and deliver products or capabilities that solve customer problems and deliver measurable business outcomes. You are accountable for product success, partnering closely with design, engineering, and business stakeholders while balancing customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
Responsibilities
- Product Discovery & Strategy
- Understand the flight order lifecycle through research, data analysis, and feedback loops.
- Define the product vision, goals, and outcomes in alignment with group and portfolio strategy to reduce risk to flights P&L.
- Research, troubleshoot, diagnose, and recommend solutions to complex business and technical problems.
- Translate data insights and market trends into product opportunities.
- Outcome Ownership
- Define, track, and deliver against product outcomes, lagging and leading indicators.
- Balance short‑term risks, long‑term opportunities, technical debt, and enabler work in the backlog.
- Continuously evaluate whether initiatives are driving intended value.
- Stakeholder Alignment & Communication
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Commercial, Finance, Technology, Accounting, and Financial Planning & Analysis to bring products to market.
- Partner with business sponsors, portfolio managers, and cross‑functional teams for outcome alignment.
- Partner with Data teams to identify insights that drive faster decision‑making.
- Act as the voice of the flights business and advocate for value delivery.
- Planning & Execution
- Lead quarterly and sprint planning with an outcomes‑focused approach.
- Identify, manage, and communicate dependencies.
- Participate in demos, stand‑ups, and retrospectives to support delivery progress.
- Engage directly with the development team—dive into database records or inspect API responses to troubleshoot issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA is preferred.
- 6‑8 years of experience taking full ownership of product success by defining visions and managing priorities to drive business and customer value.
- Strategic thinker capable of connecting business opportunities with technical execution across engineering and design teams.
- Strong quantitative skills with a focus on data‑driven decision‑making; knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and BigQuery is advantageous.
- Active practitioner of the Product Operating Model, skilled at making trade‑offs and empowering teams to deliver consistent value.
- Effective communicator who builds alignment across teams and stakeholders, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer‑centricity.
- Experience translating complex problems into clear product requirements and roadmaps with a strong understanding of technical architecture.
- Highly organized, self‑directed, and focused on outcomes over output.
