Job summary

Axi is seeking a Senior Product Manager (Spot & Derivatives) to lead end-to-end trading product development within Axi Crypto’s Trading Product Team. You will own requirements, write detailed specs, and collaborate with Engineering, Design, Ops, Compliance and Security to ensure robust crypto trading experiences.

You will drive the architecture, APIs and lifecycle logic, balancing reliability and speed while staying close to traders to iterate based on data and insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Product Management experience shipping equity or crypto trading products.
• Deep understanding of Spot & Derivatives trading mechanics and order lifecycle.
• Detailed product specs that guide Engineering and AI agents.
• Experience with AI-native workflows and LLMS as multipliers.
• Strong prioritization and trade-off capabilities grounded in business reality.
• Ability to translate trader psychology into product outcomes.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager (Spot & Derivatives) to join Axi Crypto’s Trading Product Team and work closely with the Head of Product to build and scale our multi-country trading products across Spot, Futures, Options and adjacent trading experiences.
This is a hands-on product execution role. You will drive trading products end-to-end — understanding trader needs, translating them into detailed product requirements, working closely with Engineering, Design, Ops, Compliance and Sec to drive execution, and ensuring what we ship works reliably under real-world crypto trading conditions.
You should enjoy getting deep into the details of trading systems and trader experiences — from order forms, calculations, order types, validation logic, order routing, order lifecycle and management, position management, P&L, chart trading, and more.
You will have significant ownership of your product area and be expected to make decisions, unblock teams and drive products from problem/opportunity definition → detailed requirements → build → grow → iteration.

Your EDGE Assignment/You Will

• Own and execute trading products across Spot & Derivatives (Futures, Options) - with sharp prioritization/trade-offs and a focus on stability, retention and risk mitigation.
• Write detailed specs that translate complex trading requirements into clear, executable requirements for Engineering and Design.
• Live & breathe our product sub culture of staking yourself behind everything you deliver.
• Go deep into the logic and mechanics of trading products - order types, validation rules, pricing, fees, margin, leverage, P&L, order states, positions, cancellations, failures, edge cases & risk-related flows.
• Work closely with Engineering to understand, co-own & influence the architecture, platform behaviour, APIs, MCPs, order lifecycles, dependencies and technical constraints - balancing correctness, reliability and speed.
• Partner with Design to build intuitive trading experiences without compromising functionality for our core trader types.
• Own the performance scorecard for your charter, resolve blockers and keep the team moving.
• Stay close to traders. Understand their behaviour. Channel trader feedback, your observation, product data and research to identify not just problems, but also opportunities - and continuously improve the trading product.
• Define success, metrics, monitor products after launch and drive continuous iteration. Sign off on everything that goes live from your roadmap.

Are you the one?

• 5+ years of Product Management experience, with meaningful experience shipping equity or crypto trading products.
• Deep understanding of Spot & Derivatives (perps, options, etc.) trading mechanics and the order lifecycle.
• You write/orchestrate detailed product specs that Engineering teams & AI agents can directly execute against. You achieve 100% coverage of formulas, edge cases, state transitions, validations, failure scenarios, test cases etc.
• AI Native workflows.You use AI tools & LLMs as force multipliers, but with a strong human-in-the-loop judgement. Your PRDs & prototypes are not one-shot prompt AI slop.
• You force trade off conversations and ground your prioritizations in business reality.
• You have a knack for building products that carry an emotional valence
• You try to understand why a customer chooses Apple over others and why a trader will choose Axi over others.
• You understand trader psychology. Why they trade, what matters to them (and what does not). You can then translate these into product outcomes.
• You deeply care about what you’re building, and can relentlessly champion the mission of your team.
