Job summary

MathCo seeks a senior developer with 5+ years of experience building scalable, secure web apps, REST APIs, and microservices using Python/Node.js. Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, and modern frontend frameworks is required. Strong OOAD, SOLID principles and design patterns are essential.

You will design APIs, manage backend services, and collaborate across teams. Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, AI-assisted development tools, and agile methods is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining robust, scalable web apps, REST APIs and microservices.
• Proficiency in High Level languages (Python/Node.js, Rust/Golang addons).
• Strong OOAD, SOLID principles, design patterns knowledge.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Experience on any cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with infrastructure and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Terraform).
• Version control (Git), Docker, CI/CD, Kubernetes management.

Responsibilities

We are seeking for a developer with 5+ years of experience building scalable, secure web apps, REST APIs, and microservices using Python/Node.js (plus Rust/Go as a bonus), skilled in modern front-end frameworks, solid in OOAD, SOLID principles, and design patterns, with strong database design expertise across SQL and NoSQL systems. Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), infrastructure and monitoring tools, version control, Docker, CI/CD, and Kubernetes. Adept in Agile/SCRUM, with strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking abilities in fast-paced environments.

Requirements for the Role:-

• 5 years of experience developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure web applications, REST APIs and microservices.
• Proficiency in High Level languages (e.g., Python/Node.js, Rust/Golang are addons) for developing services
• Excellent coding skills, strong understanding in OOAD, SOLID Principles, design patterns and their application.
• Experience in designing and implementing application databases – ER diagram, data flows, API calls
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
• Hands-on experience with any cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Familiarity with infrastructure management and monitoring tools (e.g., Cloudwatch, Terraform)
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Github, Azure DevOps), and virtualization technologies (e.g., Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes management)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, SCRUM and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, ADOPs).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Champion agentic AI-assisted development workflows using tools like Claude and GitHub Copilot to accelerate delivery and improve code quality

• Experience on integration with authentication and authorization protocols such as OAuth2, OIDC or SAML

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand needs and provide regular updates on progress.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Implement automated test frameworks to ensure the reliability and performance of applications.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing while participating in configuration management and deployment procedures.
• Drive adoption of agentic coding practices leveraging AI tools such as Claude and GitHub Copilot; design and build reusable skills and custom agents to streamline development workflows and boost team velocity.
