Job summary

HSBC is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape end-to-end digital experiences for banking products. You will lead UX/UI design, create high-fidelity prototypes in Figma, and drive user-centered research and testing to inform product direction.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across markets, ensure accessibility and alignment with brand standards, and contribute to a scalable design system while delivering compelling customer journeys for affluent users.

Qualifications

• A strong portfolio showing responsive, mobile-first design with impact.
• Proficiency in user research, usability testing and journey mapping.

In This Role, You Will

• Design end-to-end experiences across sketches, wireframes, mock-ups, interactive prototypes and final visual designs
• Apply user-centred design thinking by gathering insights through qualitative research and usability testing
• Translate early concepts into wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes at pace using tools such as Figma
• Create visually engaging UI with strong hierarchy, motion and micro-interactions that support clear customer journeys
• Structure content through effective information architecture and clear content hierarchy
• Partner across markets to reflect cultural nuances and regulatory requirements within the user experience
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders to inform and influence product direction
• Strengthen HSBC's design system and ensure alignment with global brand standards and accessibility expectations

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Bring substantial UX and UI design experience ideally within fast-paced or large-scale digital environments
• Show a strong portfolio demonstrating responsive and mobile-first design with clear impact for users or the business
• Apply UX best practices across journey mapping, usability testing, interface audits and workflow design
• Use Figma or equivalent design and prototyping tools to produce high-quality outcomes from concept to delivery
• Craft clear, user-centred copy as part of the design process through UX writing experience
• Communicate design decisions clearly in writing and in presentations to a range of stakeholders
• Work effectively in Agile or cross-functional teams across product and delivery disciplines
• Demonstrate banking, wealth or premium banking product experience including onboarding journeys where applicable
