Job summary

The Nielsen Company is seeking a seasoned Process Improvement Lead in India to drive cross-functional transformation in Operations, IT and Finance. The role focuses on Lean, Six Sigma, value stream mapping, and data-driven decision-making to deliver measurable improvements.

With 8–10 years of experience, you will map processes, design KPIs, coach teams, and lead complex improvement initiatives that generate sustainable performance gains.

Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required; Black Belt an advantage.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of high-impact process improvement projects from inception to completion.
  • Serve as the internal SME for Lean, Six Sigma, and value stream mapping.
  • Develop and deliver training and coaching on process excellence tools.
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis, root cause analysis, and KPI tracking.
  • Identify bottlenecks, waste, and opportunities for automation or standardization.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to measure impact and financial benefits.
  • Champion continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with Operations, IT, and Finance to deploy new processes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a portfolio of high-impact process improvement projects (e.g., DMAIC, Kaizen events) from inception to completion, ensuring sustainable results.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping).
  • Develop and deliver training and coaching to team members across the organization on process excellence tools and principles.
  • Conduct deep-dive process analysis, root cause analysis, and performance metric tracking.
  • Identify bottlenecks, waste, and opportunities for automation or standardization.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and financial impact of improvement initiatives.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, IT, Finance) to ensure successful deployment and adoption of new processes.
  • 8-10 years of experience in Process Improvement, Business Transformation, or Operations Consulting.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading complex, cross-functional improvement projects.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (GB) certification is a must. Black Belt certification will be an added advantage.
  • Expert proficiency in process mapping, process analysis and statistical analysis tools.
  • Experience in designing KPIs, risk/time/scope management, stakeholder engagement
