Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer - IT Quality Assurance for the India Mumbai/Pune office to lead the QA automation strategy across frontend and backend platforms. The role emphasizes building best-in-class test frameworks, automating processes, and driving a culture of quality in an Agile/DevOps environment.

You will collaborate with Marsh technology teams, explore new technologies, and mentor squads to deliver scalable digital products with robust QA practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of experience delivering global, scalable digital products.
• Leadership in QA; ability to ideate innovative QA solutions.

Responsibilities

• Envision and develop a library of frontend and backend test automation frameworks for Marsh’s digital platform.
• Lead quality assurance initiatives and drive automation while performing manual testing as needed.
• Explore, debug and investigate issues; implement test automation improvements.
• Promote agile DevOps culture and self-organizing teams.
• Collaborate with technology teams on new/existing test development opportunities.
• Stay updated on industry best practices in QA and automation.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Envision and develop a library of frontend and backend test automation frameworks to a best-in-class Marsh digital platform
• Be a change agent focusing on quality assurance, and exhibit proficiency in manual and automation testing
• Have an ability to explore, debug and investigate issues
• Believe in bringing efficiencies through automation using new technologies, testing and automation tools
• Drive culture change in technology to become a truly Agile team which is self-organizing, DevOps and believe in everything automated
• Collaborate with Marsh technology teams on new / existing test development opportunities
• Continuously learn about new technologies and help keep the entire group abreast of industry developments and evolving best practices in quality assurance and test automation

We would like you to have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related
• 6+ years of experience with a proven track record of successfully delivering global and highly scalable customer-facing digital products and capabilities
• Leadership in thinking and ideating new and innovative solutions for QA
• Hands on Web and API testing and automation experience using – BDD Cucumber framework, Playwright, Postman, REST, and SOAP
• Hands on with agile project management tools – Jira
• Hands on with NoSQL such as MongoDB
• Experience with Sauce labs is a plus
• Exposure to any JavaScript based testing frameworks
• Exposure to public cloud technology stack in AWS, and Azure
• Able to work on estimation models for test delivery
• API testing for MicroServices front end applications
• Able to multitask for different applications
• Strong analytical skills to be able to analyze complex problems using a number of problem solving techniques.
• Experience in delivering complex software quality assurance in an Agile environment
• Proactively partner with business and technology organizations across system and organizational boundaries to identify opportunities and drive automated solutions
