Job summary

Sunstripe is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer to lead EMT/PSCAD studies for grid integration of utility-scale BESS, renewables, AI data centers, and large loads. You will develop models, perform advanced EMT analyses, and coordinate with OEMs and clients to ensure grid-code compliance.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on PSCAD/EMTDC experience and a strong understanding of inverter-based resources, converter controls, and grid-forming interactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering / Power Systems.
• 5+ years in power-system studies with PSCAD/EMTDC expertise.
• Strong understanding of inverter-based resources, converter controls, FRT, grid strength and stability.
• Experience with utility-scale BESS and renewables preferred.
• Experience with Grid-Forming controls and multi-IBR interactions; PSS/E/PowerFactory/RTDS/OPAL-RT advantageous.
• North American ISO/RTO / UK Grid Code/NESO experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Grid Code and interconnection compliance studies.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports and independently own EMT study workstreams.
