Qualifications

• Experience in complete product lifecycle from concept to mass production.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop power electronic products such as AC-DC and DC-DC converters, inverters, and power supplies.
• Perform power circuit design, schematic development, and component selection.
• Design magnetic components including transformers and inductors.
• Conduct simulations using LTspice, PSpice, MATLAB/Simulink, or PSIM.
• Develop and review PCB layouts with thermal and EMI/EMC considerations.
• Support prototype build, bring-up, debugging, and validation activities.
• Analyze and resolve field failures and reliability issues.
• Work with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Drive DFM/DFT and cost optimization; support product certifications.

Job description

Position: Senior Power Electronics Engineer

Experience: 8 to 15 Years

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop power electronic products such as AC-DC converters, DC-DC converters, inverters, rectifiers, battery chargers, and power supplies.
• Perform power circuit design, schematic development, and component selection.
• Design magnetic components including transformers and inductors.
• Conduct simulations using tools such as LTspice, PSpice, MATLAB/Simulink, or PSIM.
• Develop and review PCB layouts considering thermal, EMI/EMC, creepage, and clearance requirements.
• Support prototype build, bring-up, debugging, and validation activities.
• Analyze and resolve field failures and reliability issues.
• Work closely with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Testability (DFT), and cost optimization activities.
• Support product certifications such as CE, UL, IEC, ATEX, and IECEx where applicable.
• Prepare design documents, test reports, and engineering change requests.
• Work with the Industrialization/NPI team to support productization, prototype build, pilot builds, production readiness, and smooth transition from design to mass production.
• Knowledge of aerospace and defense standards such as DO-160, DO-178C, and DO-254, with exposure in requirements traceability, verification & validation, design assurance, and certification support for safety-critical electronic systems.

• 8+ years of experience in power electronics product development.
• Experience in complete product lifecycle from concept to mass production.
