Job summary

New Vision Softcom & Consultancy Pvt. Ltd, Pune, seeks a DW/BI Engineer to design and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DW/BI roles (BI Developer/BI Engineer).
• Strong hands-on Power BI; experience with another viz platform (Tableau/Looker/Qlik/Sisense).
• Experience designing dashboards and data visualizations for stakeholders.
• Strong SQL skills; performance optimization.
• Familiarity with data warehouse tech like SQL Server, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Oracle, or Teradata.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions
• Design and optimize data models and transformations to support reporting and analytical needs
• Design and optimize SQL queries to ensure efficient data processing and reporting performance
• Work with modern databases and data warehouse platforms to integrate and prepare data for analytics
• Create clear and intuitive visualizations that translate complex data into actionable business insights
• Participate in the full project lifecycle, from discovery and solution design to development and implementation
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and other technical teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability
• Contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and BI development best practices

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience as a DW/BI Engineer, BI Developer, or in a related Business Intelligence role
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI and at least one additional visualization platform such as Tableau, Looker, Qlik, or Sisense
• Experience designing and developing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for business stakeholders
• Strong SQL skills, including query development and performance optimization
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into data models, transformations, and visualization solutions
• Familiarity with analytics databases and data warehouse technologies such as SQL Server, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Oracle, or Teradata
• Understanding of data modeling, data transformation, and Business Intelligence best practices
• Experience with ELT/ETL orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Apache Airflow, Informatica, or Talend is a plus
• Upper-intermediate or higher level of English
