Job description

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Senior PMO Lead to support the delivery of strategic priorities across Global Aftermarket Procurement Operations, leading programmes that improve supplier performance, operational effectiveness and organisational capability.

Working closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, you will transform objectives, data and insight into structured delivery plans, driving actions through to implementation and ensuring agreed outcomes are achieved. You will play a critical role in maintaining delivery focus across a complex global environment, providing governance, coordination and challenge to overcome obstacles, manage dependencies and keep programmes on track.

Success in this role requires strong programme delivery expertise, stakeholder influence and the ability to mobilise teams, drive accountability and convert ideas into measurable results.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of strategic programmes and improvement initiatives across Global Aftermarket Procurement Operations, ensuring objectives, milestones and outcomes are achieved.
  • Translate strategic priorities, business insight and performance data into structured delivery plans, driving actions through to implementation and sustainable adoption.
  • Establish and maintain effective programme governance, including reporting, risk management, dependency tracking, assurance activities and escalation of key issues.
  • Drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring priorities, resources, deliverables and timelines remain coordinated across a complex global network.
  • Monitor programme performance and benefits realisation, providing clear reporting, analysis and recommendations to support decision-making and delivery effectiveness.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational processes, programme delivery frameworks and ways of working, embedding best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate the successful preparation and execution of key programme gateways, reviews and leadership forums, ensuring readiness and quality standards are achieved.
  • Build capability across stakeholder groups by providing guidance, coaching and support in project delivery disciplines, governance requirements and programme management tools.
  • Manage programme risks, issues and interdependencies proactively, driving timely resolution and maintaining delivery momentum.
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, providing constructive challenge, promoting accountability and enabling successful delivery outcomes.
  • Support wider Procurement Operations transformation activities and undertake additional responsibilities as required to meet evolving business priorities.

  • Proven experience leading or coordinating complex programmes, projects or transformation initiatives within a large, matrix organisation.
  • Demonstrable experience translating strategic objectives, operational challenges and performance insights into structured delivery plans and successful outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of programme and project management disciplines, including governance, planning, risk management, dependency management, change control and benefits realisation.
  • Experience driving operational improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities and supporting implementation through to sustained adoption.
  • Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting data, performance metrics and business insights to inform decisions and prioritise actions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, balancing competing priorities while maintaining delivery momentum.
  • Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and geographically dispersed stakeholder groups.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build alignment, challenge constructively and drive accountability without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of translating complex information into clear, actionable recommendations for diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with experience creating high-quality reporting, presentations and management information.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent professional experience.
Desirable:
  • Formal project, programme management and/or continuous improvement training, qualification or accreditation.
  • Experience applying recognised delivery, improvement or governance methodologies within a complex business environment.
  • Experience within Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations or Aftermarket functions.
  • Experience supporting transformation, organisational change or business optimisation programmes.
  • Knowledge of PMO governance frameworks, portfolio management practices and delivery assurance processes.
  • Experience developing performance reporting, dashboards and KPI frameworks to support programme delivery and decision-making.
  • Experience working within a global manufacturing or automotive environment.
