Infrastructure Developer – Platform Engineering
Location: Gurgaon, India
Reports to: Director of Platform Engineering
Role Description
As an Infrastructure Developer on the Platform Engineering team, you will treat infrastructure as software and develop automated, scalable, and resilient systems across our hybrid environment (Microsoft Azure and on‑premises data centres). You will build robust solutions from scratch, ensuring they meet high‑performance and stringent security demands of the financial domain.
Responsibilities
- Design, write, test, and maintain production‑grade infrastructure code using Terraform, Azure Bicep, and Pulumi for continuous deployment of cloud and hybrid resources.
- Develop and implement automation scripts and playbooks with Ansible to manage configuration across Windows and Linux server fleets, ensuring state consistency.
- Design, deploy, and manage container orchestration platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Build, maintain, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Jenkins to automate delivery of application code and infrastructure changes.
- Implement and integrate enterprise‑grade secret‑management solutions to secure credentials and sensitive data in deployment pipelines and runtime environments.
- Conduct POCs and implement solutions for advanced monitoring and logging, ensuring real‑time visibility into the health and performance of high‑performant systems.
- Ensure seamless connectivity, identity management, and operational patterns between Azure and on‑premises infrastructure.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or a closely related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in Infrastructure Development, DevOps Engineering, or Systems Administration with a strong coding focus.
- Expert‑level hands‑on experience with at least two IaC tools (Terraform, Azure Bicep, Pulumi).
- Proven experience designing, building, and operating services within Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
- Deep practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Demonstrated ability to use Ansible (or similar tools like Puppet/Chef) for configuration management and orchestration.
- Proficiency in designing and managing automated pipelines using Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and tool integration.
- Experience with HashiCorp Vault, Azure Key Vault, or similar secret‑management solutions.
- Experience implementing and integrating monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and centralized logging solutions like Splunk or ELK stack.
- Strong foundational knowledge of hybrid networking (ExpressRoute, VPN, DNS) in both Azure and on‑premises environments.
- Optional: Azure Developer Associate (AZ‑204) or DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ‑400) certification.
