Job summary

FNZ is seeking an Infrastructure Developer to join the Platform Engineering team in Gurgaon, India. The role focuses on treating infrastructure as software, building automated, scalable, and secure systems across hybrid Azure/on-prem environments.

You will design and implement production-grade infrastructure using Terraform, Azure Bicep, and Pulumi, while automating config with Ansible and managing containers with Docker/Kubernetes. Strong Azure and scripting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) or a closely related technical field is mandatory.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in Infrastructure Development, DevOps Engineering, or Systems Administration with a strong coding focus.
• Expert-level, hands-on experience with two major Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Azure Bicep, Pulumi).
• Proven experience designing, building, and operating services within the Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
• Deep practical experience with Docker, Kubernetes (k8s), and package management tools like Helm.
• Demonstrated ability to use Ansible (or similar tools like Puppet/Chef) for configuration management and orchestration.
• Proficiency in designing and managing automated pipelines using enterprise tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jenkins.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and tool integration.

Responsibilities

Role Description

What would you accomplish as an Infrastructure Developer in Platform Engineering Team?

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Infrastructure Developer to join our Platform Engineering team. This role is dedicated to treating infrastructure as software, developing, and deploying automated, scalable, and resilient systems across our hybrid environment, which includes both Microsoft Azure and on-premises data centres.

The Infrastructure Developer will be responsible for building robust solutions from scratch, ensuring they meet the high-performance and strict security demands of the financial domain. A deep awareness of the entire infrastructure ecosystem, coupled with hands-on proficiency in modern IaC, containerization, and DevOps tools, is essential for success.

The Responsibilities Will Include

• Design, write, test, and maintain production-grade infrastructure code using tools like Terraform, Azure Bicep, and Pulumi for continuous deployment of cloud and hybrid resources.
• Develop and implement automation scripts and playbooks using Ansible to manage configuration across Windows and Linux server fleets, ensuring state consistency.
• Design, deploy, and manage container orchestration platforms using Docker, Kubernetes (k8s), and package management via Helm.
• Build, maintain, and optimize robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Azure DevOps (ADO) and Jenkins to automate the delivery of both application code and infrastructure changes.
• Implement and integrate enterprise-grade Secret Management solutions to secure credentials and sensitive data within deployment pipelines and runtime environments.
• Conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) and implement solutions for advanced Monitoring and Logging, ensuring real-time visibility into the health and performance of high-performant systems.
• Ensure seamless and consistent connectivity, identity management, and operational patterns between Azure and on-premises infrastructure.

• Experience with HashiCorp Vault, Azure Key Vault, or similar dedicated secret management solutions.
• Practical experience implementing and integrating specialized monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and centralized logging systems (e.g., Splunk, ELK stack).
• Strong foundational knowledge of hybrid networking (ExpressRoute, VPN, DNS) in both Azure and on-premises environments.
