Job summary

Inadev India is seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to own and evolve AWS-based infrastructure across development, QA, staging, and production environments. You will lead reliability initiatives, implement Terraform-based IaC, manage Kubernetes on EKS, and drive automation with GitHub Enterprise Actions, Datadog, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE or related fields.
• Strong hands-on experience operating production AWS environments.
• Experience with Terraform in multi-environment production environments.
• Kubernetes experience, including EKS-based workloads.
• Experience with containerized and serverless platforms.
• Experience building enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, and secrets management.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/Aurora databases.

Responsibilities

• Operate and improve AWS infrastructure across development, QA, staging, and production environments.
• Manage cloud services including EKS, ECS, Lambda, Aurora PostgreSQL, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, VPC, KMS, ECR, S3, CloudWatch, WAF, and Secrets Manager.
• Drive platform reliability through high-availability design, backups, disaster recovery planning, capacity management, and operational excellence.
• Support multi-account and multi-region AWS environments with governance and security standards.
• Participate in architecture decisions and platform modernization initiatives.
• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Improve deployment automation and environment consistency across the platform.
• Establish and maintain standards for infrastructure, security, monitoring, networking, and cloud governance.
• Reduce manual processes through automation and platform tooling.
• Drive continuous improvements in reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Own and evolve GitHub Enterprise Actions platform and deployment automation capabilities.
• Build reusable workflows, templates, and deployment patterns for engineering teams.

Cloud Platform Engineering

• Operate, maintain, and improve AWS infrastructure across development, QA, staging, and production environments.

CI/CD & Developer Productivity

• Own and evolve our GitHub Enterprise Actions platform and deployment automation capabilities.
• Build reusable workflows, templates, and deployment patterns that enable engineering teams to deliver software efficiently and safely.
• Improve release management processes, deployment governance, rollback strategies, versioning, and software delivery practices.

• Partner with engineering teams to improve developer productivity, platform self-service capabilities, and software delivery automation.
• Help drive adoption of modern engineering practices and AI-enabled software delivery workflows.

Reliability, Security & Observability

• Improve monitoring, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerting capabilities using Datadog and AWS-native services.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strengthen cloud security through least-privilege access controls, secrets management, encryption, vulnerability management, and operational controls.
• Collaborate with Security, Engineering, Data, and Operations teams to ensure platform standards are consistently applied.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Serve as a technical leader within the Platform Engineering organization.
• Mentor engineers on cloud infrastructure, automation, DevOps, reliability, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, QA, Product, Security, Data, and Operations teams.
• Document architecture, standards, processes, and operational procedures that improve organizational effectiveness.
