Anblicks Inc. is seeking a Senior Platform Data Engineer to lead Snowflake architecture, governance, and reliability across enterprise data environments.

The role involves developing and enforcing security, RBAC, and disaster-recovery strategies while supporting multiple database technologies in cloud environments. The candidate will optimize performance and cost governance, troubleshoot operational issues, and coordinate with IT on product releases.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data platform or database engineering experience.
• 2+ years administering Snowflake in production.
• 2+ years managing high-availability or DR strategies.
• Experience supporting cloud-based data platforms.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL technologies (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Snowflake).
• Scripting experience (Bash, Korn, Perl, Python).

Responsibilities

• Architect and administer Snowflake environments.
• Optimize performance and cost governance.
• Implement RBAC and compliance controls.
• Design replication and disaster recovery strategies.
• Support multiple database technologies on public and private cloud infrastructure for business-critical applications.
• Troubleshoot, patch, upgrade, report, tune for performance and handle operational issues.
• Improve and promote operational scalability and standardization.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain a variety of database and cloud technologies.
• Diagnose OS, network and storage issues related to database.
• Coordinate with IT and developers on new product releases.
• Create tools and processes to automate administration and monitoring.
• Work with Database and Cloud vendors to resolve challenges as needed.
• On-call support.
