Assystem is seeking a Senior Piping Stress Engineer in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. This role requires 5+ years of experience in piping engineering and flexibility analysis. The candidate will collaborate with other engineers, ensure compliance with QC for nuclear projects, and work with 3D models for deliverables.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical/Chemical engineering, be conversant with piping design codes, and possess strong analytical and communication skills.

Job description

Nature and Scope

We are looking for a Senior Piping Stress Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in performing piping stress and flexibility analysis.

• Experience in nuclear pipe stress analysis for pipelines classified as seismic and safety
• Experience in writing and verifying piping calculation notes and piping hypothesis notes
• The ideal candidate will execute the work assigned by the Pipe Stress Lead Engineer, ensure QC for compliance with nuclear projects, make use of 3D models (Navisworks), and liaise with other engineers for the execution of deliverables

Job Description

• Good knowledge in piping analysis
• Strong analytical and planning skills
• 5+ years of experience in piping engineering calculations
• Carrying out the dimensioning of pipes and their supports
• Carrying out counter-calculations of flexibility and supports
• Updating modifications made by the Client’s various services
• Analyzing and comparing initial results with those modifications
• Producing the associated calculation notes
• Updating calculations carried out by the Client’s various suppliers
• Instructing modifications in relation to the Client’s various services
• Working with designers to implement modifications to 3D models

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Chemical engineering
• Conversant with Piping Design and Engineering as per ASME/EN code
• Experience of PMS, VMS, CAESAR/AUTOPIPE/PEPS
• Familiarity with MS Office
• Ability to interpret P&IDs for piping; conversant with Navisworks / Smart Plant Review; 2D & 3D drafting using AutoCAD
• Strong communication skills and punctuality

Language: Proficiency in English is a must. Knowledge of French will be good.
