RINA is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to join our Mumbai office in the Plant Engineering division. The role focuses on leading pipeline design activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and supervising multidisciplinary teams on oil & gas projects.

Exceptional knowledge of piping design, materials, stress analysis, and international standards is required, with hands-on experience in SP3D/E3D/AutoCAD and Navis for 3D modelling and verification.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Piping Engineer to join our office in Mumbaiwithin thePlant Engineering Division.

Mission

The Senior Pipeline Engineer leads technical engineering activities for pipeline design, including design appraisal and certification of new and existing pipelines. This role ensures compliance with project requirements, manages project interfaces, and supervises information flow while maintaining and developing technical skills, expertise, knowledge, procedures, and tools for proposals and project execution. The Senior Engineer also focuses on capitalizing on project experience to improve and harmonize work methodologies.

Key Accountabilities

10 to 12 years of work experience in piping discipline.

Must have worked on at least 2 multidisciplinary large OIL&GAS projects as Lead engineer or Area Lead.

Must have hands on experience in Piping materials for preparing Piping and Valve material specifications, Piping MTO, Material requisitions, Technical bid evaluations.

Must have working knowledge of Piping detail design.

Must be familiar with International codes and standards and OISD standards.

Shall be familiar in review of 3D Model, clash checks and its resolution using Navis software.

Experience in Oil and Gas Hydrocarbon offshore facilities, refinery projects, tank farms and Jetty terminals will be an added advantage.

Must have experience in sub-contractor co-ordination.

Must be familiar with SP3D, E3D or AUTOCAD softwares

Performing Stress analysis of piping system using CAESAR-II and review of stress reports submitted by vendors and contractors.

Flange leakage calculations and Nozzle stress checking.

Dynamic and vibration analysis of piping systems.

Piping Design, Engineering Studies and Analyses:
- Coordinate all activities related to piping design, including existing and new projects.
- Manage all internal and external project interfaces to ensure timely provision of necessary input and information to meet project execution schedules.

Resource Management:
- Coordinate resources assigned to the discipline.
- Supervise and coordinate all engineering, design, and drafting activities assigned on project.
Development and Reporting:
- Develop personnel skills and flexibility through work assignments, responsibilities, seminars, and courses.
- Ensure the capitalization of project experience to improve work methodologies.

Project Oversight:
- Control project schedules and ensure adherence to timelines.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications

- Extensive experience (8+ years) in pipeline engineering, with a strong background in design and analysis.
- Proven track record of managing engineering teams and projects.
- Proficiency in software tools for structural design and installation analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Expertise in project scheduling, resource management, and cost optimization.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, project teams, and subcontractors.
- Leadership abilities to guide and motivate engineering teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is preferred.
