Job summary

AFRY in India seeks a senior piping design engineer with LNG experience to develop equipment layouts, piping drawings, and 3D models. You will work closely with civil, process, marine and mechanical engineers to ensure multi-discipline integration and compliant technical documentation.

The role requires 6–10 years of relevant experience, proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D/S3D/E3D, and a strong grounding in piping design standards. On-site collaboration in Dadri, UP is expected.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma in mechanical or chemical engineering.
• Experience in LNG projects is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of piping design principles and codes (ASME/API).
• Experience 6–10 years in FEED/EPC LNG projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings and 3D models for piping discipline per scope, hours and schedule.
• Develop equipment layouts, piping GADs and isometrics.
• Collaborate with civil, process, marine and mechanical engineers to address inter-discipline interfaces.
• Ensure documentation complies with project and code requirements.

• Monitors compliance with design, engineering, process regulations/procedures, occupational health and safety rules, workplace sanitation and fire safety rules & requirements of environmental
  
• Ensures timely development of technical documentation (drawings, bills of materials, specifications, 3D models)
  Participates in the development of design tasks
  Good Understanding of assigned projects and technical documentation with standards, specifications and other documents for design and construction
  
• Should be conversant in using AutoCAD/ AutoCAD Plant 3D / S3D / E3D software packages
  
• Should be able to develop Equipment Layout /piping GADs/isometrics
  Basic Understanding of Piping Materials & MTO generation from 3D model
  Ensure that the inter-discipline aspects of the design are addressed
  
• The preparation of drawings and or modeling related to Piping discipline in accordance with the agreed work scope, man-hours and schedule
  Strong understanding of piping design principles industry standards & codes (e.g., ASME, API)
  Working closely with other disciplines, such as civil, Process, Marine & mechanical engineers
  
• Working experience on critical LNG Cryogenic piping design, routing & supporting
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  Qualifications
  Engineering Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
  
• Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates
  Work experience in the respective position not less than 6 to 10 years
  Experience in developing design documentation in accordance with Project & code requirement
  
• Experience on projects within FEED/ EPC contractors
  Working Experience in LNG projects (Onshore/offshore) are added advantage
  
• Additional Information

• SEA project experience and knowledge of LNG design standards is advantageous
  
• Knowledge of ArcGIS and similar GIS software
