We are looking for a seasoned Senior PHP Developer with over 5 years of experience to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. You will lead the development of all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of the central database, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

As a senior member of the team, you will also be expected to mentor junior developers, drive architectural decisions, and collaborate closely with product managers and front-end teams to ship robust, scalable features.

Key Responsibilities

• DevOps Support: Assist in deployment workflows, CI/CD pipeline management, and cloud infrastructure optimization (AWS/GCP).
• Architecture & Development: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable PHP code using modern frameworks.
• Database Management: Design complex database schemas, optimize SQL queries, and ensure data security and integrity (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• API Integration: Develop and consume secure, scalable RESTful APIs and Third-Party integrations.
• Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and resolve these issues to ensure maximum speed and scalability.
• Code Quality: Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and maintain high test coverage (unit/integration testing).
• Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with Frontend Developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. Mentor and guide junior/mid-level developers.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience in PHP.
• Frameworks: Strong expertise in at least one major PHP framework (Laravel, Symfony, or Yii).
• Frontend Familiarity: Solid understanding of frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. Experience with modern frameworks (Vue.js, React, or Angular) is a heavy plus.
• Databases: Deep knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB).
• Object-Oriented Programming: Strong understanding of OOP principles, MVC architecture, and design patterns.
• Tools & Version Control: Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Testing: Experience with PHPUnit or other automated testing frameworks.
