Job summary

TeamLease is seeking an experienced PHP developer to work on web application projects. You will use PHP 5.x/7.x, CakePHP, and integrate with SQL Server, while handling frontend assets and collaborating with product teams.

Qualifications

• Experience 6-8 years of professional software development experience.
• PHP Strong knowledge of PHP5.x and PHP7.x (syntax, OOP, error handling).
• CakePHP framework experience (2.x/3.x/4.x).
• Strong MS SQL Server DB design and optimization.
• Front-end: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript ES6+, AJAX, jQuery.
• Git version control.
• IDE familiarity: PhpStorm, VS Code; debugging tools; CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop & maintain server-side components using PHP (5.x/7.x) and CakePHP.
• Design, implement, and optimize database schemas, stored procedures, and queries in SQL Server.
• Integrate frontend assets (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery) with backend services.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, providing timely fixes and root-cause analysis.
• Write unit/integration tests and contribute to the CI/CD pipeline.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented PHP developer with solid experience in both PHP5.x and PHP7.x, who can

hit the ground running on our webapplication projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the

CakePHP framework, be comfortable working with relational databases (SQL Server), and possess a

good command of frontend technologies. You will collaborate with product owners, UI/UX designers, and

other engineers to deliver highquality, scalable solutions.
