Job summary

Dow in Navi Mumbai, India is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join the HR Operations Payroll and Time & Absence team. You will manage payroll processing, data integrity, and compliance, collaborating with internal teams and external providers to ensure timely employee payments.

The role requires 5+ years of global payroll experience, a relevant degree, and strong English communication. Relocation is not offered; a flexible schedule aligned with international time zones is expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Payroll, Time & Absence, and Data Management efficiently.

• Ensure accurate and timely payments to employees and local authorities.
• Comply with Dow internal control & compliance framework and coordinate audits.
• Monitor and manage data with payroll providers and external partners.
• Serve as escalation point for payroll-related employee queries.

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Payroll Specialist, within Human Resources (HR). This role is part of the Payroll and Time & Absence Team in the HR Operations organization based in Navi Mumbai, India.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering Payroll, Time & Absence, and Data Management in a productive and efficient manner.
• Processing information with confidentiality and with a high level of accuracy.
• Leading and partnering in strategic improvement projects, change projects.
• Ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees and local authorities.
• Perform activities according to the Dow internal control & compliance framework and lead coordination for internal and external audits.
• Monitoring and management of outside service providers, including managing, owning, and having full accountability for the data to and from the payroll provider.
• Serve as an escalation point to address employee queries/cases on payroll related matters.
• Delegate and escalating queries as appropriate but remain responsible through completion.

Qualifications:

• You have a Masters or bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, or related area.
• You bring a minimum of 5 years of core Global payroll experience.
• Fluency in English (written & oral) is mandatory.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Workday, ServiceNow & ADP Globalview, SAP.
• Understand organizational interdependencies and experience working across functions and cultures.
• Experience in high volume operational environments is required.
• Experience in internal controls through prior audit participation is preferred.
• Good problem solving, critical thinking skills and managing competing priorities.
• By nature, this job requires a substantial amount of coordination with a variety of internal- and external stakeholders where accountability and ownership of data and processes are key.
• Self-motivated with a customer service mindset.
