Job summary

JSW Steel is seeking a Senior Manager Payroll to lead end-to-end payroll operations for India group entities. You will ensure accurate, timely payroll processing and governance, while driving standardization, automation, and process excellence across multiple units.

The role requires 12+ years in payroll, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity, and experience in Captive Shared Services. You will collaborate with HR, Finance, Tax, Compliance and external auditors to ensure statutory

• MBA or Master’s degree in HR/Finance or a related field.
• B.Com or M.Com degree is required.
• Experience in Captive Shared Services/SSC is mandatory.
• 12+ years of payroll experience with at least 5 years in a managerial role.

Role Purpose

The Senior Manager Payroll will lead the end-to-end delivery of payroll operations for India JSW Group Entities. The incumbent will ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing while driving standardization, automation, governance, process excellence, and superior employee experience across multiple business entities.This is a strategic managerial role responsible for leading payroll operations, statutory compliance, stakeholder management, vendor governance, continuous improvement initiatives, and building a high-performing payroll team.

Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll Operations

• Lead end-to-end payroll processing for multiple legal entities across India.
• Ensure 100% accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Manage monthly payroll calendars and payroll governance.
• Review payroll inputs including new joiners, exits, promotions, transfers, incentives, bonuses, arrears, reimbursements, and recoveries.
• Ensure payroll accuracy through maker-checker controls.
• Drive payroll standardization across businesses.

Required Qualifications
