Sutherland is seeking a Senior Oracle Applications Developer - Finance & Accounting to own and drive assignments through all stages (business requirements, technical definition, development, testing, UAT, production support) with high quality and on-time delivery.

This position requires 8–12 years of Oracle E-Business Suite experience, strong SQL/PLSQL, and expertise in Oracle Forms, Reports, XML/BI Publisher, and OAF in a Unix environment. Hybrid work model with in-office on select days in Pune.

• 8–12 years of experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (11i/R12) focusing on Finance & Accounting modules.
• 7+ years of experience with SQL and PL/SQL, including SQL tuning.
• 5+ years with Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports.
• 5+ years with XML/BI Publisher.
• 5+ years with Oracle Workflow Builder.
• 2+ years with Oracle Application Framework (OAF).
• 2+ years of experience on a Unix flavor OS.

Responsabilidades

• Own and drive assignments through all stages: business requirements, technical design, development, testing, UAT, production support.
• Develop new programs or modify existing ones (Reports, Interfaces, Customizations, Extensions, Workflow).
• Lead requirement gathering with business users and assist with system configuration decisions.
• Work with Oracle development tools to build and resolve custom solutions; design and develop gaps identified by users.
• Prepare test environments and coordinate resolutions with Oracle support and users.
• Provide Level 2 production support and rapid workarounds or resolutions.

In this role, you will get to:

This is a senior level position where you are expected to own and drive your assignments through all stages (business requirements, technical definition, development, testing, UAT, production support) to completion with high level of quality and within project timelines.

This position requires implementing new oracle application modules with the assistance of external consulting resources as well as supporting existing application modules currently in use. Senior level development experience with Oracle’s development toolset is required as well as advanced troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops new programs or makes changes to existing programs, according to business requirements. This will be in the areas of, but not limited to: Reports, Interfaces, Customizations, Extensions, and Workflow.
• Leads requirement gathering meetings with business users. Assists business users with deciding on system configuration and setup of new and existing modules.
• Works with all of Oracle’s development tools to resolve issues and build custom applications. Performs design and development of custom solutions for gaps identified by business users.
• Prepares test environments for business use after cloning activity. Works with Oracle support staff and business users to develop resolutions for application issues.
• Investigates use of Application modules not in use as well as study Application modules in use.
• Level 2 production support by troubleshooting issues and working rapidly to provide a workaround or resolution to the stated issue and End user Support can include using sqlldr to refresh tables for business reporting or for projects.
• Works with key business owners to support and troubleshoot production system issues.
• Monitors system health by evaluating system self-monitoring script emails. Assists with system maintenance tasks and Other relevant tasks or duties may be assigned.
• Participates in other departmental tasks when needed or required. Is in tune with and follows Oracle’s technology path and gets trained on new technology that Oracle is incorporating into the e-business suite.
• Provide technical support to other IT developers including systems that interface with the Oracle Applications.
• Follows and supports overall policies and goals for the companies Information Technology, including maintaining established Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and other regulatory IT general controls over the production environment.

Qualifications

Our most successful candidates will have:

• 8–12 years of experience working with Oracle E-Business Suite (11i/R12), with strong expertise primarily in Finance and Accounting modules.
• 7+ years of experience with SQL and PL/SQL and SQL tuning including SQL and PL/SQL development tools
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports
• 5+ years of experience with XML/BI publisher
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle Workflow Builder
• 2+ years of experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF) desirable
• 2+ years of experience with a Unix flavor operating system.
• Knowledge of general business operating principles.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills
• Ability to multitask and maintain composure when working with the business users.
