Job summary

Blue Dart in Bengaluru (India) is seeking an operations professional to manage inbound, outbound and transit activities at the Air Hub for DP shipments, ensuring timely connections to the approved air network and accurate dispatch to service centers.

You will supervise loaders, carting and tally staff, enforce SOPs, handle exceptions and coordinate with PUD centers and other departments to ensure safe, compliant and on-time delivery of all DP loads.

Responsibilities

• Resolve inbound, outbound and transit ops for DP shipments at Air Hub
• Ensure timely connections of DP loads onto air network (BDA and flights)
• Ensure timely dispatch of inbound DP loads to service centers
• Ensure timely, accurate and profitable delivery of all DP shipments to customers
• Manage network changes, delays, priority runs, misconnections; communicate to PUD centers/service centers
• Handle all exception cases for DP shipments and coordinate with relevant departments
• Handle internal/external communications during the shift for smooth operations
• Conduct daily staff briefings on operational changes in DP shipments to staff
• Oversee loaders, tally staff and carting staff at the Hub to ensure SOP adherence
• Oversee vehicle placement at bays and supervise carting/tally operations for DP shipments
• Ensure accurate input of data during tally processes
• Monitor loading activities and ensure safe handling per SOPs

Operational

• Responsible for all operational activities for DP shipments, in terms of inbound, outbound and transit operations for the Air Hub
• Ensure timely and accurate connections of DP loads onto the approved air network (BDA and commercial flights)
• Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of inbound DP loads from BDA /Commercial flights to the respective service centers
• Ensure timely, accurate and profitable delivery of all DP shipments to customers
• Manage all cases of network changes, delay, priority runs, misconnections etc. and communicate the same to the concerned PUD Centers / Service Centers
• Handle all exception cases for DP shipments and ensure closure of the same in collaboration with relevant departments
• Handle all internal/ external communications during the shift for smooth operations
• Conduct daily staff briefings, including communication regarding any operational changes in the DP shipments to the concerned staff employees
• Oversee the work of loaders, tally staff and carting staff at the Hub to ensure adherence to the operational workflows and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Oversee vehicle placement at bays and supervise the carting and tally operations for DP shipments
• Ensure accurate input of data during the tally processes
• Monitor loading activities and ensure safe handling of shipments as per SOPs by loaders
• Ensure appropriate and accurate completion of paperwork and documentation for necessary regulatory clearances (octroi, sales tax, etc.) for all inbound, outbound and transit DP loads during the shift
• Monitor performance of staff for DP operations and support in conduct of regular trainings for regular staff, PDAs, loaders, etc. in line with the training programmes designed centrally
