Job summary

HTIC Global in India seeks an experienced Medical Underwriter to underwrite UAE corporate medical insurance proposals, price risk, and support closure while ensuring regulatory compliance and profitability.

You will own an annual revenue target of AED 3 Million through new business and renewals, coordinate with insurers and TPAs, and provide underwriting inputs to sales teams for competitive solutions.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in medical underwriting.
• Mandatory experience handling UAE corporate medical insurance clients.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite UAE corporate medical insurance proposals in line with insurer underwriting guidelines and UAE regulations.
• Analyze RFQs, employee census, claims experience, loss ratios, benefit structures, and risk profiles to determine pricing and terms.
• Own and achieve an annual revenue target of AED 3 Million through underwriting support for new business and renewals.
• Coordinate with insurance companies and TPAs to obtain competitive quotations, approvals, endorsements, and policy issuance.
• Support sales consultants during negotiations by providing technical underwriting inputs and solution structuring.
• Ensure underwriting decisions balance commercial competitiveness and portfolio profitability.
• Support renewal pricing, retention strategies, and portfolio optimization.
• Assist in resolving underwriting-related client and insurer escalations.
• Maintain complete underwriting documentation and MIS records.
• Continuously work on improving underwriting turnaround time (TAT) and process efficiency.
