Job summary

Sun Pharma is seeking a Senior Officer for its Global Quality and Compliance unit in Dewas. The role focuses on analytical testing of lab samples, ensuring instrument accuracy, and maintaining strict cGxP standards in a busy QC environment.

The candidate will manage HPLC operations, monitor lab conditions and data records, and contribute to continuous improvements while upholding safety and quality norms. A relevant MSc/Pharm degree and 2–5 years’ experience are expected.

Qualifications

• M.Sc / B.Pharm degree required.
• 2-5 years of experience in quality labs or related roles.
• Experience with analytical testing and cGxP compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of laboratory samples (Finished API, Intermediates, Raw Materials) on HPLC and other wet lab instruments as per approved procedures.
• Maintain and calibrate wet laboratory instruments (HPLC) according to schedule.
• Monitor temperature and humidity in QC lab and maintain relevant records.
• Issue analytical raw data sheets and log books for analyses.
• Manage inventory of laboratory chemicals and documents/spares in HPLC lab.
• Handle and dispose of under-test samples per required conditions and disposal guidelines.
• Drive continuous improvements through training and knowledge upgrades in the lab.
• Ensure compliance to cGxP and safety standards in QC lab.

Key responsibilities

• Analytical Testing: To perform analysis of laboratory samples (Finished API’s, Intermediates, Raw Materials, Recovered Solvent, In-process material, Working Standards) on HPLC/ Wet laboratory instruments as per approved Specification, Test procedures and as per customer requirement.
• Laboratory Instruments: To perform and ensure all Wet laboratory instruments are maintained and calibrated as per schedule. To perform daily/weekly calibration of wet laboratory instruments as per schedule. To ensure laboratory instruments (HPLC) are maintained and calibrated as per schedule
• Temperature and Humidity Monitoring QC laboratory and maintain the relevant records.
• Issuance of analytical raw data sheet for relevant analysis.
• Inventory: To maintain inventory of laboratory chemical and documents/spares in HPLC laboratory.
• Sample Handling: Handling and disposal of under test laboratory samples and to ensure that under test laboratory samples are kept as per their recommended conditions and maintain the disposal of under test laboratory samples after completion of analysis.
• Training: To ensure that continuously upgrade the skills through training and technical inputs for knowledge up gradation to drive continuous improvements in laboratory performance.
• Safety: To ensure compliance to cGxP and applicable safety standards in the QC laboratory.
