Job summary

IQ-EQ is seeking a Senior Officer – Financial Reporting to lead delivery of high-quality reporting for private equity, hedge funds, real estate, and other clients. You will review complex statements across multiple GAAPs, ensure timely deliverables, manage stakeholder relationships, and guide a team toward operational excellence.

You will oversee workflow planning, mentoring, and continuous improvement, while ensuring adherence to SSAE and client requirements in a global services environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • At least 6 years of accounting experience, incl. 2–3 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
  • Experience managing client deliverables, service operations and team performance.
  • Hands-on experience preparing/reviewing working papers, financial statements and disclosures across multiple GAAPs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review complex financial statements, disclosures, NAV packs across IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, Lux GAAP and Canadian GAAP.
  • Lead timely and accurate client reporting, coordinate with onshore teams and stakeholders, resolve queries.

  • Oversee workflow planning, resource allocation, timesheet approvals, and process improvements.

Introduction

IQ-EQ is seeking a Senior Officer – Financial Reporting to lead the delivery of high-quality financial reporting services for private equity, hedge fund, real estate, and other alternative investment clients. This role is responsible for reviewing and preparing complex financial statements across multiple GAAP frameworks, ensuring timely client deliverables, managing stakeholder relationships, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and client service.

What you'll do
  • You'll prepare and review complex financial statements, disclosures, NAV packs, and other reporting deliverables for hedge funds, private equity, real estate, and management companies across multiple GAAP frameworks, including IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, Lux GAAP, and Canadian GAAP.
  • You'll lead the timely and accurate delivery of client reporting requirements, coordinate with onshore teams and stakeholders, resolve queries from clients, auditors, and directors, and ensure all deliverables meet agreed service levels and quality standards.
  • You'll manage, coach, and develop team members by providing technical and non-technical guidance, reviewing work outputs, monitoring performance, supporting learning initiatives, and acting as an alternate to managers when required.
  • You'll oversee workflow planning, resource allocation, timesheet and overtime approvals, review processes, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, productivity, and service delivery across the team.
  • You'll champion risk management and compliance by ensuring adherence to SSAE and client-specific requirements, maintaining strong knowledge of client agreements, SOWs and SLAs, escalating issues appropriately, and implementing corrective and preventive actions where necessary.

About you
  • You hold a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline and bring at least 6 years of accounting experience, including 2–3 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
  • You have proven experience managing client deliverables, service operations, and team performance, including staff development, coaching, and appraisal processes.
  • You possess strong financial reporting expertise, with hands‑on experience preparing and reviewing working papers, financial statements, and disclosures for private equity, hedge funds, real estate, and other alternative investment structures across IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, Lux GAAP, and Canadian GAAP.
  • You are highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (including pivot tables, lookups, and IF functions), and have experience using accounting platforms such as Investran or Paxus, supported by excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
  • You ideally hold or are working towards a professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA and have experience in financial services, shared services, or multinational environments, with the flexibility to travel and undertake international secondment opportunities when required.
