Job summary

IQ-EQ in Hyderabad seeks a senior leader to oversee corporate accounting operations, ensuring timely financial reporting and regulatory compliance. You will manage complex accounting deliverables, mentor accounting teams, and drive process improvements across record-to-report processes for allocated clients.

The role requires MBA and CA/CMA qualification with deep US GAAP knowledge, strong leadership, and proficiency in ERP systems like NetSuite, Sage or QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• MBA and qualified or semi-qualified CA/CMA with strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Extensive experience in corporate accounting, financial statement preparation, bookkeeping, tax accounting, general ledger reconciliations, intercompany accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP in corporate or professional services environment.
• Proficient in ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, Sage, QuickBooks or similar finance software.
• Strong leadership, analytical, stakeholder management, communication, coaching and problem-solving skills.

This Role

Provides leadership and technical oversight for corporate accounting operations, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of financial reporting, compliance requirements, client service activities, and team performance while driving process improvements, stakeholder engagement, and operational excellence.

What You Will Do

• You’ll oversee the preparation and review of complex accounting deliverables, including financial statements, bookkeeping activities, general ledger reconciliations, management company accounts, intercompany accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, record-to-report processes, tax-related activities, and corporate accounting deliverables for allocated clients.
• You’ll lead, coach, and develop Accountants, Senior Accountants, and new team members by providing technical guidance, performance feedback, training, and support to ensure high-quality deliverables, continuous learning, and strong team performance.
• You’ll manage client relationships and stakeholder interactions by resolving complex accounting queries, responding to client and cluster requests, monitoring service levels, ensuring timely delivery of assignments, and maintaining high standards of client service.
• You’ll drive operational excellence by monitoring team KPIs, reviewing quality and compliance standards, implementing process improvements, leading small projects, supporting technology and system enhancements, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal control requirements.
• You’ll contribute to team leadership and business success through performance evaluations, resource coordination, problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and the independent resolution of complex technical accounting and operational issues.

Qualifications

About You

• You hold an MBA and are a qualified or semi-qualified CA or CMA, with strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• You possess extensive experience in corporate accounting, financial statement preparation, bookkeeping, tax accounting, general ledger reconciliations, management company accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, record-to-report processes, and intercompany accounting.
• You demonstrate strong knowledge of US GAAP and have experience applying accounting principles and standards within a corporate or professional services environment.
• You are proficient in accounting systems and ERP platforms, preferably NetSuite, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar financial management applications.
• You have strong leadership, analytical, stakeholder management, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex deliverables, develop team capability, improve processes, and consistently deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
