Apothecon in India seeks an EHS Engineer to manage environmental and safety operations in a chemical/pharmaceutical setting. You will monitor effluent parameters, operate treatment systems, ensure hazardous waste handling, and implement EHS SOPs.

You will also drive safety programs, risk assessments, and training while complying with GPCB regulations. The role requires experience in chemical/pharma spaces, familiarity with ISO 14001/45001, ESG considerations, and ability to conduct inspections

Formación

• Experience in chemical/pharmaceutical industries preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001; ESG adds advantage.
• Familiarity with GPCB compliance and EHS SOPs.

Responsabilidades

• Knowledge of effluent analysis parameters (COD, BOD, NH3-N, MLSS, TDS, DO, etc.).
• Operate and troubleshoot ETP/MEE/RO/STP plants.
• Operate press and screw filters.
• Prepare and file returns for GPCB (monthly/half-yearly/yearly).
• Prepare EHS SOPs.
• Hazardous waste management.
• Environmental monitoring per GPCB requirements.
• Knowledge of GPCB XGN portal.
• Implement Work Permit System.
• Handle hazardous chemicals safely.
• Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and HIRA.
• Use incident investigation techniques.
• Ensure construction safety practices.
• Deliver safety trainings on the job and in classroom.
• Know exothermic reaction safety precautions.
• Understand loss prevention systems.
• Maintain Safety committees, fire drills, and mock drills.
• Conduct workplace safety inspections and report unsafe acts/conditions.

Environment:

Preferred candidate profile

• 5- 7 Years (Chemical/Pharmaceuticals Industries only)
• B.E or M.sc Environment + PDIS Mandatory
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 & 45001and ESGwill be added advantage
