Job summary

iVentureTeam is seeking an experienced Odoo consultant to lead implementations from discovery through post-go-live hypercare. This client-facing role puts you in the driver seat: you shape the blueprint, run demos, and become the point of contact for the customer.

We do not place juniors in front of clients, so the work you scope is the work that ships. You will work with a pod including a developer and a project manager, handle workshops, configure Odoo modules, write specs, manage data

Qualifications

• 5+ years implementing Odoo, with at least three full-cycle go-lives you personally led.
• Deep functional command of at least two: Accounting, Inventory/WMS, Manufacturing (MRP), Sales/CRM, Purchase.
• Odoo functional certification, or a portfolio strong enough to make the certificate irrelevant.
• You can say "no, and here's what we'll do instead" to a client - in writing, with reasoning they accept.
• Comfortable reading Odoo's data model well enough to spot when a request is a two-hour config change versus a two-week build.
• Written English strong enough for blueprints and status notes that clients quote back to you.

Responsibilities

• Run discovery workshops with finance, operations and supply chain stakeholders, and translate what you hear into a defensible Odoo blueprint.
• Configure Odoo across Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing, Accounting and Project - and know precisely when a requirement should be configured versus customised.
• Write functional specifications developers can build from without a follow-up meeting.
• Run fortnightly sprint demos, manage scope conversations, and keep the change log honest.
• Own data migration mapping, UAT scripts, cutover planning and the first four weeks of hypercare.
• Coach the pod's junior consultant - pairing, review, and gradual handover of low-risk workstreams.

Job description

You will run Odoo implementations from first discovery workshop to post-go-live hypercare. This is a client-facing ownership role: you decide the blueprint, you run the demos, and you are the person the customer calls. We do not put juniors in front of clients, which means the work you scope is the work that ships.

About the team

Our Delivery & Consulting practice runs every Odoo, ERPNext and Zoho engagement in the business. Consultants work in small pods with a developer and a project manager - no matrixed hand-offs, no account managers translating between you and the customer. Roughly 60% of our projects are net-new implementations and 40% are rescues of implementations someone else got wrong.

What you'll do

Nice to have

• Experience rescuing a failed or stalled ERP implementation.
• Exposure to Indian statutory requirements (GST, e-invoicing, e-way bill) or EU/UK VAT.
• ERPNext or Zoho One implementation experience.
• Manufacturing or multi-warehouse distribution domain depth.

Hiring process

2. Functional deep dive (90 min) - two seniors, one real scenario, blueprint it out loud.
3. Founder conversation (45 min) - values, ownership, how you handle a client who is wrong.

Total 3-4 hours. Decision within 72 hours of the final round.
