Job Description
Manipal Hospitals is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients, overseeing nursing staff, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures. The Senior Nurse will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, provide patient education, and support families in understanding their loved ones' care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing procedures as required.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting observations and treatments thoroughly.
- Educate patients and families regarding health issues, care plans, and discharge instructions.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients, adopting infection control protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to ongoing staff training and development.
