Job summary
Persistent Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Node.js Developer to design, develop, and support scalable backend applications and APIs. You will work with Node.js, TypeScript, AWS cloud services, and SQL Server to build enterprise-grade solutions across Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Noida, and related locations.
The role emphasizes cloud-native, serverless architectures, event-driven patterns, and collaboration with architects, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver secure and reliable
Qualifications
- 9–11 years of software development and backend experience.
- Strong hands-on Node.js and TypeScript expertise.
- Experience building enterprise-grade APIs and microservices.
- Deep AWS knowledge including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB.
- Experience with serverless and cloud-native apps.
- Hands-on SQL Server development and admin skills.
- Strong SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and async processing.
- Knowledge of API security, authN/authZ and secure coding.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Familiarity with source control and collaborative workflows.
- Desirable: Magic XPA or low-code/no-code exposure.
- Analytical, debugging, problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Experience in Agile and cross-functional delivery.
- Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend apps with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Build RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration services.
- Develop cloud-native apps using AWS services and serverless patterns.
- Design event-driven solutions with modern cloud patterns.
- Leverage AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB for scalable apps.
- Design and optimize SQL Server databases and queries.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
- Integrate third-party apps, APIs, and enterprise systems.
- Ensure performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Monitor app health and support operational excellence initiatives.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce standards.
- Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD and automated deployments.
- Create and maintain technical docs and design artifacts.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement across dev, deploy, and support.
