The Senior Network & Security Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end administration, configuration, and advanced troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructure and perimeter security appliances. You will manage mission-critical Layer 2 and Layer 3 environments, dynamic routing protocols, software-defined networks, and multi-site connectivity spanning enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless (WLAN), and IPSec/SSL VPN architectures. Day-to-day operations demand proactive network health monitoring, performance tuning, resolving complex multi-tiered escalations, and executing seamless network migrations with zero downtime.

In this infrastructure-heavy position, you will harden enterprise security postures by deploying and managing next-generation firewalls, load balancing fabrics, and secure cloud interconnects. You will configure policy rules, analyze packet captures, optimize load distributions across application delivery controllers, and collaborate with cloud architecture teams to integrate on-premises systems with AWS and Microsoft Azure. Candidates must possess hands‑on command-line expertise across multi‑vendor platforms (such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and F5) and leverage automation scripting to streamline network operations, eliminate repetitive provisioning tasks, and ensure high operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, configure, and maintain robust enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN environments.
• Configure, harden, and manage enterprise routing engines, multi-layer switches, next-generation firewalls, and load balancers.
• Serve as the primary technical escalation authority for diagnosing and resolving complex network outages and performance bottlenecks.
• Establish and maintain secure, high‑availability IPSec site‑to‑site VPN tunnels and SSL remote access solutions for distributed workforces.
• Design, configure, and optimize application traffic management and health monitoring using F5 BIG‑IP or equivalent enterprise load balancers.
• Deploy, tune, and audit security policies, NAT rules, and threat prevention profiles on Palo Alto Networks and Fortinet FortiGate appliances.
• Support cloud and hybrid network deployments, configuring virtual routers, transit gateways, and interconnects across AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Develop network automation workflows and maintenance scripts utilizing Python, Go, or Shell to drive operational efficiency and consistency.
• Execute comprehensive root‑cause analysis (RCA), network packet captures, and traffic flow diagnostics using Wireshark and network telemetry tools.
• Maintain detailed network topology documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), hardware asset inventories, and change control logs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Telecommunications, or a closely related engineering field.
• Proven senior‑level professional experience in hands‑on network engineering and network security infrastructure administration.
• In‑depth technical proficiency with enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN protocols, architecture, and deployment models.
