Job description

Overview

Senior Network Engineer (L2) position at NTT DATA, Inc.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line support by reviewing client requests and tickets, applying technical expertise to resolve incidents and requests of medium complexity, and ensuring services are restored in line with SLAs.
• Proactively monitor work queues, perform operational tasks, update tickets with actions taken, identify and log issues before escalation, and communicate with clients and other teams to ensure changes are executed with clear risk identification and mitigation plans.
• Escalate tickets as needed to ensure focus from Centres of Excellence (CoE) and other teams; collaborate with automation teams to optimize efforts and coach Service Desk and L1 teams in technical and behavioural skills.
• Establish monitoring for client infrastructure, manage initial client escalations for operational issues, contribute to the change management process, log change requests, and audit incident and request tickets for quality.
• Identify tasks suitable for automation to reduce tickets and improve efficiency; support disaster recovery functions and related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with technologies such as Pulse Secure SSL VPN, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco Nexus switches/routers/firewalls; familiarity with ticketing tools.
• At least one technical certification in the above-mentioned technologies.
• Strong planning skills with the ability to anticipate and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic work environment.
• Excellent communication across cultures and social groups; client-centric communication and active listening.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure; client-first mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing, or equivalent work experience.
