Job summary

Cornerstone is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Pune to manage LAN/WAN infrastructure across on‑prem and cloud environments. You will support routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls, coordinating with Site Reliability, Systems Engineering, and Software Development to ensure a 24/7/365 SaaS service.

The role requires 5–8 years in network engineering, CCNA, and experience with multi‑vendor ecosystems including Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, Arista, F5, A10, and Meraki.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of network engineering in a data centre environment.
• Experience delivering network solutions across on‑premise and cloud environments.
• CCNA certification required; CCNP or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day operation and support for LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Configure, administer, upgrade, and maintain switches, routers, load balancers, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance and security; troubleshoot with cross‑functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and security policies.

We see this as an exciting opportunity for someone who isproficient at managing all aspects of LAN/WAN network infrastructure includingrouters, switches, load balancers, and firewalls in both on prem and cloudenvironments. Reporting to the Associate Director, Network Engineering,this position will work closely with the Site Reliability Operations, SystemsEngineering, and Software Development organizations in support of ourstate-of-the-art 24/7/365 production SaaS service offering. This critical positionprovides great visibility and individual growth potential for an ambitious ITprofessional but also requires proven experience with exponential growth on aglobal scale. You must be able to think creatively and workindependently, presenting creative solutions to difficult networking problems

In this role, you will…

Idealcandidate will have a strong networking background working with multiplevendors including Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, Arista, F5, A10, Brocade, andMeraki.
Day-to-dayoperational support of network infrastructure and services maintaining,highly available, high performance data center network infrastructureinvolving multiple distributed systems in both on premise and cloudenvironments.
Specificresponsibilities include configuration, administration, upgrade andmaintenance of network switches, routers, load balancers, and firewalls.
Troubleshoottechnical issues with other technical staff and end-users.
Monitorand manage network security, traffic, and performance.
Experiencewith several Network monitoring and administration tools: SolarWinds,Thousand Eyes, Panorama, New Relic, Grafana and Logic Monitor.
MaintainCornerstone’s global SaaS service ensuring all incidents are tracked andremediated, and changes are implemented under the auspices ofCornerstone’s policies and procedures.
Developdocumentation and diagrams supporting Standard Operating Proceduredocuments.
Establishmentof enterprise data network standards taking into account various in-flightinitiatives.
Managingmedium to large scale public and private IP address schemes.
Work with your team members and peer groups to ensure the security,availability, resiliency, and compliance with industry and regulatoryrequirements (ISO, SOC 1/2, FedRamp, PCI) in a fast-paced SaaSenvironment.
Thoroughunderstanding of network security aspects, common problems and solutions(ACL, firewall filtering, and VPN).

You’ve Got What It Takes If You Have…

In-depthknowledge and understanding of TCP/IP protocols, IP Addressing (DHCP, NAT,etc...), MPLS, VPN, VLANs, Load Balancing, and Wireless technologies.
Provenexperience in delivering network services and solutions in a mid-size orlarger enterprise.
CCNAlevel experience is required; CCNP certification or higher is preferred.
5-8 years of network engineering in a datacentre environment.
Experiencewith network change management control tools and policies.
In-depthknowledge of OSPF and BGP routing protocols. L2/L3 switching on enterpriseclass hardware, including Arista, Cisco, Juniper, and Brocade switches androuters.
Hands-onexperience securing network environments with Palo Alto and JuniperFirewalls.
F5and A10 load balancers configuration and design principals.
Musthave extensive experience building scalable, highly available, missioncritical network infrastructures.
Excellentverbal and written communication skills.

Securitycompliance experience as it relates to the network.
