Job summary

Cornerstone OnDemand in Mumbai is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications across backend and frontend using C#, .NET, React, TypeScript, SQL, NoSQL and AWS.

Job Description:

We're looking for a Software Engineer This role is Office Based, Mumbai Office Software Engineer

This role is part of the Engineering team within Cornerstone. The team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions that power Cornerstone’s product platforms.

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining reliable software applications across backend and frontend technologies. You will work with C#, .NET, React, TypeScript, SQL, NoSQL, and AWS to deliver high-quality and scalable solutions.

You will work closely with Engineering, Product, QA, Architecture, and other stakeholders to build customer-focused features, troubleshoot production issues, and continuously improve application performance, reliability, and quality.

In this role you will….

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using C# and .NET.


• Develop application UI using React and TypeScript.


• Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and well-tested code.


• Contribute to technical design discussions and scalable solution development.


• Integrate applications with internal and external services.


• Troubleshoot and resolve application and production issues.


• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB.


• Develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and data access logic.


• Contribute to application performance, scalability, and reliability improvements.


• Work with asynchronous processing and integration patterns.


• Deploy and support applications using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.


• Participate in code reviews and follow engineering, security, and quality best practices.


• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality.


• Explore and contribute to integrating AI/Generative AI capabilities into applications.


• Collaborate with Product Managers, QA, UX, Architects, and other Engineering teams.


• Learn and adopt new technologies and engineering practices.

You’ve Got What It Takes If You Have…

• 1–3 years of hands‑on software engineering experience building and supporting production systems.


• Hands‑on experience with C# and .NET in backend and service‑oriented architectures.


• Hands‑on experience with React and TypeScript.


• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases in production.


• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.


• Strong understanding of Object‑Oriented Programming (OOP) and software design principles.


• Good understanding of software development best practices.


• Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices.


• Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and analytical skills.


• Experience working in Agile/product‑driven environments.
