Job Summary – Senior Network Engineer (L3 / Technical Lead)
Corus Infotech is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer – L3 / Technical Lead to oversee end‑to‑end ISP infrastructure operations and drive technical excellence across the organisation. This role requires strong capabilities in customer coordination, solution preparation, presales support, and leading technical teams while ensuring seamless network performance in a high‑pressure environment.
The ideal candidate must possess deep knowledge of ISP networks, including routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, IPv6, CGNAT, GPON/FTTH, BNG, MPLS and multivendor platforms. The role involves client‑facing technical discussions, solution design, project delivery, network optimisation, and mentoring the NOC/technical teams. Candidates should be able to manage complex scenarios independently and contribute to both operational and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement & Solutioning
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders of clients and technical teams to understand business and technical requirements.
- Design and present tailored solutions, including routing, switching, CGNAT, BNG, NAT, IPv6, telemetry, and security frameworks.
- Prepare solution proposals, BoQs, technical documentation, and presales deliverables.
- Conduct technical workshops, network audits, and long‑term roadmap planning with customers.
- Act as a senior technical point of contact for escalations and customer coordination.
- Core Network Engineering
- Manage and support multi‑vendor ISP core infrastructure (Juniper, Cisco ASR, Nokia, Huawei, etc.).
- Troubleshoot complex network issues involving routing, switching, NAT, CGNAT, QoS, VRF, MPLS, and transport layers.
- Improve network performance, optimise redundancy, and ensure high availability across platforms.
- Recommend architectural enhancements and implement performance improvement actions.
- Handle L3 escalations, RCA preparation, and cross‑functional issue resolution.
- Team Leadership & Project Delivery
- Lead and mentor junior engineers, NOC teams, and field engineers.
- Oversee ISP network deployments, migrations, upgrades, and optimisation projects.
- Ensure proactive incident management, capacity planning, and adherence to SLAs.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams for project delivery and customer onboarding.
- Provide leadership support during high‑priority incidents and outages.
- Compliance, Documentation & Security
- Maintain audit‑ready documentation, including SOPs, network diagrams, topology maps, and change logs.
- Implement and manage monitoring/security frameworks (IPFIX, Syslog, SNMP, NetFlow).
- Work with compliance teams on access control, JML processes, backup policies, and data retention standards.
- Ensure adherence to change management and security best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in ISP or telecom core network engineering.
- Hands‑on expertise with BGP, OSPF, CGNAT, NAT, IPv6, VLANs, QoS, VRF, MPLS, and service provider platforms.
- Experience working with devices from Juniper, Cisco, Nokia, Huawei, and similar vendors.
- Ability to confidently manage customer relationships and deliver consultative technical solutions.
- Proven experience in team leadership, project coordination, and escalation management.
- Familiarity with network automation tools such as BNG, RADIUS/AAA, IPFIX, Syslog, NetFlow, Python, and Ansible.
- Excellent communication, documentation, presentation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage pressure, and support 24/7 operational requirements when necessary.
