About the role
A Cloud Managed Services Engineer (L2) at NTT DATA plays a critical role in ensuring clients’ cloud infrastructure operates smoothly. Responsibilities include proactive monitoring, incident identification, investigation, and resolution; managing service level agreements; performing maintenance and change management; leading client escalations; providing second‑line support; analyzing tickets for trends; and collaborating with automation and life‑desk teams to optimize operations.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor work queues and resolve incidents in a timely manner.
- Update tickets with tasks performed and analyze issues before impact.
- Handle second‑line support for incidents and requests of medium complexity.
- Lead client escalations, contribute to change management, and ensure all changes are approved.
- Plan and execute approved maintenance activities.
- Audit and analyze incident tickets for quality improvements.
- Produce trend analysis reports to identify automation opportunities.
- Collaborate with automation teams and coach Service Desk and L1 teams.
Qualifications
- Experience in Windows Server, Linux Server, Virtualization, Server Hardware, and Storage Administration.
- Moderate experience with managed services and ticketing tools like ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of management agents, redundancy concepts, and technical domains such as Network, Data Center, Telephony, Exchange, Storage, Cloud, and Backup.
- Strong planning and adaptability to changing circumstances.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across cultures.
- Active listening skills, including paraphrasing and probing for relevant information.
- Positive outlook and ability to thrive in a pressurized environment.
- Willingness to work longer hours when necessary and maintain a client‑focused approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology/computing or equivalent work experience.
