Job summary

The Solution Consulting FZCO - Microsoft Cloud Solutions Partner is seeking a Lead Finance Functional Consultant with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations to design financial solutions, lead implementations, and mentor a team.

You will collaborate with clients across industries, map business processes to D365 capabilities, document functional requirements, configure modules such as GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, and Project Accounting, and support post-go-live

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in Dynamics 365 F&O Finance.
• Minimum 2–5 full life cycle D365 F&O finance implementations.
• Strong knowledge of GL, AR, AP, FA, Cash & Bank, Budgeting, and Project Accounting.
• Experience with multi-entity/global clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end finance implementations on D365 F&O.
• Collaborate with clients to map business processes to D365 capabilities.
• Define and document functional requirements and test scenarios.
• Provide solution architecture across core finance modules including GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank, Budgeting, and Project Accounting.
• Facilitate solutioning sessions and design workshops.
• Oversee data migration, system integration, and financial reporting setup.
• Ensure proper posting of financial entries and validation of transactions in D365.
• Mentor and lead the Finance functional team.
• Provide user training and support during UAT and go-live phases.
• Ensure alignment with industry best practices and compliance.
• Coordinate with technical teams for performance and scalability.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Lead Finance Functional Consultant specializing in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing financial solutions, leading implementation projects, and mentoring a team of consultants. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions, and ensure successful implementation and post-go-live support.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end finance implementations on Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O.
• Collaborate with clients to understand business processes, map them to D365 capabilities, and design appropriate solutions.
• Define and document functional requirements, process flows, configurations, and test scenarios.
• Provide strong solution architecture and design expertise across core finance modules including GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank, Budgeting, and Project Accounting.
• Drive solutioning sessions and functional design workshops.
• Oversee data migration, system integration, and financial reporting set-up.
• Ensure proper posting of financial entries and validation of accounting transactions within D365.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Finance functional team.
• Conduct user training and provide support during UAT and go-live phases.
• Ensure alignment with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
• Work in coordination with technical and development teams to ensure overall system performance and scalability.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations
• Minimum 2-5 full life cycle D365 F&O finance implementation projects.
• Strong knowledge of core finance modules and related processes.
• Solid understanding of how financial transactions and journal entries are posted in D365.
• Expertise in solutioning and process reengineering for finance domains.
• Experience working with global clients and multi-entity structures.
• Hands-on experience in functional setup, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting in D365.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to lead workshops, prepare solution documentation, and present to stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Experience in integration with other D365 modules like SCM or CE.
• Working knowledge of Power BI, Power Platform, and LCS tools.
