Job summary

HNS Detailing Services is seeking an experienced SDS/2 Modeler in Hyderabad to develop accurate 3D structural steel models from drawings. You will read and interpret complex structural plans, model beams, columns, braces, joists, trusses, stairs, and miscellaneous steel, and detail corresponding connections per project requirements.

You will review shop and erection drawings, ensure model accuracy, and coordinate with checkers, engineers, and project managers to resolve issues and incorporate

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in SDS/2 with good knowledge of 3D steel modeling.
• Read and interpret structural plans, elevations, sections, and connection details.
• Ability to independently model beams, columns, braces, joists, trusses, stairs, and miscellaneous steel.
• Knowledge of AISC standards and US structural steel detailing practices.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities SDS/2 Modeler

• Develop accurate 3D structural steel models using SDS/2 based on structural/design drawings.
• Read and interpret structural plans, elevations, sections, and connection details.
• Model beams, columns, braces, joists, trusses, stairs, handrails, and miscellaneous steel.
• Apply and detail appropriate steel connections as per project requirements and standards.
• Prepare and review shop drawings, erection drawings, and fabrication details.
• Ensure model accuracy, constructability, member orientation, dimensions, and elevations.
• Identify and resolve modeling/detailing issues and coordinate with Checkers, Engineers, and Project Managers.
• Incorporate drawing revisions and project changes accurately.
• Follow AISC/project-specific standards, client requirements, and company detailing procedures.
• Deliver assigned projects within required quality, productivity, and project timelines.Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

• 36 years of experience in Structural Steel Detailing / SDS/2 Modeling.
• Strong hands-on experience in SDS/2 with good knowledge of 3D steel modeling.
• Good understanding of structural drawings, steel connections, fabrication, and erection drawings.
• Knowledge of AISC standards and US structural steel detailing practices.
• Ability to independently model beams, columns, braces, joists, trusses, stairs, and miscellaneous steel.
• Strong attention to detail with good problem-solving and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively with Checkers, Engineers, and Project Managers.
• Good communication skills and ability to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Candidates with experience handling US-based structural steel projects will be preferred.
