Job summary

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular communication with international buyers on status and schedules.
• Coordinate pre-shipment requirements and ensure dispatch within timelines.
• Work with suppliers on quality, quantities, pricing and delivery commitments.
• Maintain accurate records and provide status updates to management.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Merchandiser who can take ownership of the order execution process - from order confirmation and material readiness through production, quality clearance and final shipment.

This role requires someone who can stay ahead of timelines, work closely with production and vendors, anticipate bottlenecks and ensure that every order moves seamlessly from plan to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete order execution cycle from order confirmation to final shipment.
• Coordinate with Production, Sourcing, Quality, Stores and vendors to ensure timely execution of orders.
• Prepare and monitor production plans, delivery schedules and critical timelines.
• Ensure timely availability of leather, materials, trims, accessories and other production inputs.
• Closely monitor production progress against committed timelines and proactively address delays or bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with Quality teams to ensure products meet approved samples, specifications and buyer quality standards.
• Follow up on production issues, rejections, rework and corrective actions to ensure timely closure.
• Maintain regular communication with international buyers regarding order status, production progress, approvals and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate pre-shipment requirements and ensure orders are cleared and dispatched within committed timelines.
• Work closely with suppliers and vendors on quality, quantities, pricing and delivery commitments.
• Maintain accurate order, production and shipment records and provide regular status updates to management.
• Identify potential execution risks early and elevate critical issues with appropriate recommendations.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in merchandising, within leather goods, handbags, accessories or a similar export manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of leather goods production processes, materials, trims and construction.
• Proven experience in managing production orders from confirmation through shipment.
• Strong follow-up and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple orders and timelines simultaneously.
• Good understanding of quality standards, inspection processes and buyer specifications.
• Ability to identify bottlenecks, resolve execution challenges and drive closure without constant supervision.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with buyers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Good commercial understanding of costing, production efficiency and delivery commitments.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other standard business communication tools.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi.
