Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Mechanical Engineer PHE to lead building services design for global markets from India. You will plan and design water, drainage, and sanitary systems, coordinating with M&E, architecture, and structural teams to deliver high-quality projects.

You will apply BS standards, CIBSE guides, and DEWA/region-specific codes, while leveraging BIM tools like Revit and AutoCAD to deliver integrated models and clash-free designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil with Environmental/Public Health focus.
• 10+ years of experience in Public Health Engineering/Plumbing design.
• Experience with residential, commercial, high-rise, hotels, hospitals, airports, and sports facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage PH/PHE projects for global markets.
• Plan and design all building services (water, sanitary, drainage) and coordinate with M&E, structure, and architecture.
• Lead concept design with space proofing and load/demand evaluations.
• Ensure design outputs comply with BS/Code standards and company QA procedures.
• Coordinate with BIM team for clash resolution and model integration.
• Coach and mentor junior staff and ensure timely deliverables.

Role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer PHE to manage projects for global markets.

Bein chargefor planning and design of all building services elements of the PHE(water, drainage/(Sanitary& Rain/Stormwater)andcoordination withother Mechanical & Electrical services (M&E) ,Structureand Architecture.

Beinchargeforconcept designincluding Space proofingbased on evaluationforvarious optionsin coordination with architectural, structural input andin accordance withinitialload/Demand estimates.

Design Calculation knowledge basedonrelevantBSStds& Codes,CIBSEGuide G,IOP,IPC,UPCKnowledgeonMiddleEaststds& local regulations likeDM/ADM& DEWAis added advantage.

Ensure all design work is carried outin accordance withCompany’squality standard procedures.

Ensure checking of all design outputs of PHModellersand seamless coordination between other sections/disciplinesand with BIM team for clash resolution

Ensure the completeness of design deliverables within time limits

Knowledge on Digital Automation of PH is added advantage

Share knowledge and experience to coach and develop juniorstaffs.

Key Capabilities:

Candidate should be B.E./B.Techin Mechanical/Civil - Environment /Public Health Engineering discipline.

Have 10 years plus experience in Public Health Engineering/Plumbing design and knowledge on inter-disciplines and clash resolutions.

Have experience in Residential, Commercial,high rise buildings,shopping malls, hotels, hospitals,Sports buildings, Gym ,Recreational Club, Theme parks, Airport ,Metro projects,Defence buildingsetc.,

Have experience in design of internal&external water supply,sewerageand drainage (Storm water/Ran Waterand surface water),

Knowledge on irrigation distribution network is added advantage & not mandatory

Knowledge onrelevantBSStandards&Codesof PHE-Plumbing & Sanitary DrainageCodesmust.

Familiarity with local authority codes and regulations such as of local Municipality, water authority, drainage and sewerage department, environmental authority etc., of countries in which the candidate has job experience.UK/British region(mostly preferred),Ifcandidate hasMiddle East& otherANZ(Australia &Newzealand)regionsexp.as well,also shall be an added advantageand not mandatory.

Good knowledge of relevant international codes and regulations.

Knowledge in sustainable, green building design practices and rating guidelines is added advantage & not mandatory

Handle design independentlywith minimal supervisionand lead a team of technicians/modellers.

Have good oral and written communication skills and liaise with clients directly.

Should be capable ofhandling PH Services -Water, Sanitary & Storm waterdrainage design independently which includes preparation of designcalculations,preparingEngg design mark-ups & execute the project work down the line

Experience in relevant design software such as Auto CAD,REVIT,Navisworksand IT Literacyis mandatory &able towork independently in BIM modelling -Revit is Mandatory.
